A geometric form first described by mathematician Edmund Hess in 1876, the compound of five octahedra has captivated minds for nearly 150 years. Now, it can captivate a room.
Each lamp begins with precision-modelled junctions, 3D printed from recycled plastic, engineered to hold every wooden strut at exactly the right angle. The wood is measured and cut by hand, then carefully assembled piece by piece into its final stellated form. An Edison-style bulb and sustainable hemp-wrapped cord complete the piece: mathematics transformed into light.
Every frāctus formō is laser engraved with its own edition number.
